Paris’ street art
The city of Paris, well known in the entire world for its architecture, fine gastronomy and rich culture is now bringing to the light its atypical street art. From the 13th district to Belleville, colored pictures transport you into a contemporary artistic universe.
- The 13th district
Described by the guides as an “open museum”, the 13th district offers a wide variety of graffiti. Take your time to explore the area of La Butte-aux-Cailles, a wonderful mix of history and art.
The Itinerrance art gallery (24 Boulevard du Général d’Armée Jean Simon, 75013) has interesting contemporary exhibitions all year long.
- The Seine river
The riverbank, buzzing area of Paris where Parisians like to enjoy a nice walk, or a pick-nick is also introducing street art. The opening of the river boat Fluctuart, located near the Pont des Invalides is the first floating cultural urban center. They hold a busy calendar, filled with music and art.
- Belleville and Menilmontant
Board for a nostalgic voyage in the 70’-80’ where the Parisian street art first started. Far from the touristic places, this historical district is a must-see for all street art lovers or curious.
